282kms East of Perth,administrative centre for a large agricultural area the town has a population of 542. The Memorial is in a park on the corner of Latham Rd. & Longhurst St. alongside the Shire Office.The third step of the base bears a small brass scroll 'Presented By' below which is an enamelled badge (shown below) the periphery of which reads 'In the service of those who serve - Australia-' the centre has a diamond bearing the words 'Sailors - Soldiers - Airmens- Asscn.' within the diamond is the word 'Fathers' , no other Memorial so far recorded bears this type of badge.
