Situated on the main East/West Highway 260kms.East of Perth,Merredin is the administrative centre for an area of 3372sq.kms. with a population of 3729,it is the centre for Govt.Services but the main industry is farming...grains and sheep.This Memorial is located in the main street,for the 1914-19 War seventythree names are shown and twentytwo names for the 1939-45 War. There is also a plaque to "commemerate those who gave their lives in Korea,Malaya,Vietnam and Borneo"
