Koorda
Koorda is some 236kms.N/E of Perth with a population of approx.330,it is the administrative centre for a large grain growing area. Located in a Park alongside Railway Rd., the Memorial comprises a base of local rock and a cement rendered obelisk. The front of the base bears three cast iron plaques,the top one reads "lest We Forget - 1914 to 1918" the next down bears the dates "1939 to 1945" and the bottom one "1962 to 1973". Alongside is a WW1 German 75mm Mountain Gun,Serial No.1975,manufactured by Skoda in their Pilsen works,the carriage wheels appear to be original. An electric lamp is suspended directly above the obelisk.
