Cunderdin
This town is on the main East/West Highway approx.160Km East of Perth,the administrative area covers 1872sq.kms.and has a population of 1490; main occupation is the cultivation of grains and sheep.When the Perth to Kalgoorli water pipeline was powered by steam engined pumps it was an important pumping station.The Memorial Drive leads off what was the main street before the road bypass was built. The right hand entrance column commemorates 1939-45 War and bears 14 names,the left hand entrance column commemorates the 1914-18 War and bears20 names.The central cenotaph bears a brass plaque which reads " Cunderdin War Memorial Drive, this Drive is to honour and have in perpetual memory those from Cunderdin district who paid the supreme sacrifice in World Wars 1 & 2
