Corrigin
230kms S/E of Perth the Town was established in 1913 and today has a population of 725 and is the administrative centre for the shire. Opposite the Post Office is Anzac Memorial Hall which was built of local stone by Mr.T.Hewitt to a design by Mr.Woods,Architect. The hall cost 850 Pounds,this sum being raised by local subscription. In the 1930s a Memorial was constructed on Corrigin Rock overlooking the town by the local Scout Association,subsequently the Corrigin Returned Services League refurbished the site.
The cement rendered obelisk bears the plaque shown above,on the wall to the right is a small plaque reading:

Directly opposite the obelisk is a field gun,plate on its' base identifies it as a 75mm Turkish Mountain Gun captured at Duma 1st.October,1918 by 10th.Light Horse Regiment.
