Calingiri is a small town some 150kms. N/E of Perth,it is the administrative centre for the Victoria Plains Shire. The memorial is a cement rendered obelisk bearing the Honour Roll shown above and is sited in a newly landscaped area 'Federation Park' opposite the new Recreation Hall,. Previously the Memorial was located near the Railway Station, Erected in 1948 at a cost of Forty-eight Pounds.a plaque now marks this spot.
