Boddington
123kms. S/E of perth with a population of approx.900,the main industries are Bauxite and Gold mining. The Memorial comprising a cement rendered obelisk and flag pole is located in Memorial Park at the intersection of Crossman and Bannister Rds. Individual names are not shown. The Memorial shown above( built in 1957)has now been been replaced with a new, and more ornate one,in time for the 2005 Anzac Day service, paid for by the community with some help from Govt. funds. In a break with tradition, honorary wardenship has been given to the Emergency Services Cadet Corps comprising Year 8 to Year12 pupils of Boddington High School. At the beginning of 2006 the Memorial and surrounds were upgraded, a new flagpole and two gun barrels,one each side of the flagpole, were installed. The names of six residents killed in action were added to the Memorial plinth.
