Tambellup
Tambellup is a small town on the Gt.Southern Highway 338kms.SE of Perth,it is the administrative centre for the surrounding agricultural area. The Memorial stands in the main street opposite the Shire Office,the monument proper is inscribed " Our fallen Heroes,greater love hath no man" followed by twentysix names below which is a wreath carved in the stone,in the centre the years 1914 to 1919 are inscribed whilst around the outside are the names 'France'Gallipoli' 'Mesopotamia' 'Egypt' ,below a granite plaque has been added which relates to WW2 and contains eleven names;below is a small brass plaque " Vietnam 1962 to 1972" and contains one name.
