Rockingham
On the coast 47km. South of Perth the area has a population of 50,000. The Memorial is sited on the corner of Flinders and Smyth Streets and has a 25pd.field gun mounted close by. The stone on one side bears a plaque reading "Lest We Forget - In memory of the men and women of Rockingham and District who at the call of duty gave their lives for their Country" the other side has a plaque reading "This is hallowed ground let silent contemplation be your tribute - Lest We Forget" On the foreshore is the newly completed Naval Memorial,click on here to view.
