The Local Government area of Nedlands is one of the older Perth suburbs, stuated between the State capital and Fremantle on the Northern bank of the Swan River it contains some of the highest priced residential real estate in the Perth area. The Gunners Memorial shown above is located in a Park in Birdwood Parade overlooking the Swan River. As recorded on the Adjacent plaque the site was dedicated by Canon L.W.Riley, Sept. 27th., 1975. A short distance away at the junction of Birdwood Parade and Waratah Avenue stands the Nedlands War Memorial.
