Some six kms.East of Perth GPO the Memorial is located in a small park on the corner of Guildford Road and Eighth Avenue.The Monument is constructed of granite with a three tier base the third tier being inscribed "1914" above this on all four sides are mounted polished granite scrolls inscribed with one hundred and twelve names. Above these scrolls the column rises to be capped by a stone dome inscribed "1919,each side of the column above the scrolls bears three brass bars mounted at intervals in a sloping position bearing WW 1 major battle area names including Palestine,Gallipoli,Hamel,Paschendale etc.etc.On one side, above the scroll is mounted a brass plaque honouring those who fell in the 1939-45 War,Malayan Emergency,Vietnam,Korea and Borneo.
