Dedication

A small coastal town 295km.North of Perth,Leeman has a population of about 580 and is the administrative centre for the shire of Coorow. In 1998 a meeting was held between the Shire and ex Service residents to discuss the building of a War Memorial, a site was selected ( end of Rudduck St.on the foreshore ), design approved and application made to the Regional War Memorials Project for a grant of $3000/- for materials; the actual building being done by unpaid volunteers. The granite boulder bears a bronze plaque having a badge in each corner -RAR-RAAF-RAN-MN and is inscribed:

This Monument is dedicated to the men and women who served and sacrificed for their country
