Kalbarri

Kalbarri, located at the mouth of the Murchison River and some 590kms. North of Perth, is the centre for a crayfish industry and a destination for tourists attracted by the fishing and the scenery in the surrounding National Park. The Memorial is sited on the foreshore in Grey Street and consists of a base faced with local stone rising by eight steps to a five tiered cement rendered column surmounted by an electric light, the bank at the rear carries the message " and they died for you and me".the side facing the entrance bears a marble plaque inscribed with the Ode. On the L/H side entrance is a marble plaque that records that the Memorial was unveiled by the Rt.Hon. K. F. McIver Minister for Lands and Surveys, 14th.July,1984
