Westonia
Westonia is a small town lying some 9kms North of the Gt.Eastern Hwy.310 kms.East of Perth,at the turn of the last Century gold was discovered and mined for many years but the mine(the Edna May)closed before WW2 then re-opened briefly to recover tantalium from the mine tailings during that conflict. The wheel on which the plaque is mounted was recovered from the old machinery at the Edna May.
